Strohmeyer & Arpe acid waxes have a predominantly crystalline
structure with high hardness and gloss. They are excellent solvents
for black and colored dye bases and useful in increasing the
melting point and hardness of other waxes.
Acid waxes are easy to saponify and can be used as emulsifiers
for wax emulsion.
